The closing of the 2026 Auckland Pride Festival culminates in an electrifying celebration in the heart of the Karangahape Road Gaybourhood. "Out of the Gutter: Street Party" is a sunset gathering for all ages; A showcase, market, and unapologetically queer extravaganza honouring community artistry and excellence: then, now, and into the future.

Inspired by the spirit of HERO and the energy of Coming Out Day Parades gone by, Out of the Gutter brings glamour and grit, legacy and futurity to the streets for one night only. Expect fabulous performances, pop-up delights, and intergenerational joy as we mark 40 years since the passing of Homosexual Law Reform in Aotearoa.

Our communities have always reclaimed what was once used against us. Forty years on from being told to “stay in the gutter,” we’re throwing a party out of it — a reclamation radiating with pride and resilience. Because Pride isn’t only about where we’ve been, it’s about where we’re heading.
