Join us for Kotahitanga in Colour - a PrideFest Out West activation where our community comes together to build one giant, travelling Pride flag. Each workshop focuses on a single rainbow colour, exploring the meaning of the Pride flag while crafting a unique textile piece with recycled and sustainable materials.
Guided by The Recreators, participants will try different tools, materials, and textures while sharing conversations about creativity, identity, and community. All eight panels will be combined into a large collaborative artwork, with a final workshop building the wooden stand for the flag to travel across te uru (the West).
Come craft, connect, and celebrate kotahitanga - unity in all our colours.
