Join us for Rainbow Tracks: a Pride hīkoi in the Waitakere Ranges a very special collaborative Pride Month event with Radiqal Movement, the Charlotte Museum Te Whare Takatāpui-Wāhine o Aotearoa and the Arataki Visitor Centre. Welcoming all LGBTQIA+ and takatāpui folk, this event combines movement, connection, and Te Taiao for a wholesome Saturday outing you won’t want to miss. We’ll begin at the Arataki Visitor Centre, where we’ll take time to explore an exhibition curated by the Charlotte Museum Te Whare Takatāpui-Wāhine o Aotearoa, celebrating queer stories and history. From there, we’ll embark on a leisurely 45-minute walk to the Jacobson's Depot – to check out the rarely seen tracks of the old Rainforest Express! After the walk, we’ll regroup back at the Visitor centre to share some kai and refreshments, creating space to connect with fellow attendees and celebrate our wonderful community during Pride month.
