Vector Lights on the iconic Auckland Harbour Bridge is part of a smart energy partnership between Vector, Auckland Council and NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi. Powered by a mix of clean energy technology, the lighting display gives Aucklanders a focal point for celebration and recognition.

The second year of a three year partnership between Auckland Pride and Vector Lights, artist Mars Cook is at the helm of this event, illuminating Auckland’s iconic Harbour Bridge, in collaboration with Mandylights, with powerful queer narratives that celebrate Takatāpui and Rainbow communities.

Also honouring the 40th anniversary of Homosexual Law Reform, Mars explores how this movement continues to shape contemporary queerness and inspire the next 40 years. Mars’ bespoke light show will run 13–21 February, playing every 15 minutes from 9pm to midnight.
