A Collage Workshop: Stories Carried Across Waters

Come relax & feel your flow state with the famous & fabulous artist Naomi Azoulay!

In this dynamic, hands-on workshop, participants will create intuitive collages that honour the many journeys, identities, and whakapapa that shape life in Tāmaki Makaurau. Drawing inspiration from the kaupapa of Ngā Uri E!—the idea that we are all descendants of movements, migrations, struggles, and tides—we will use images, colour, and texture to explore belonging, resilience, and the interwoven stories that connect tangata whenua, tauiwi, and manuhiri.

We will craft visual narratives that convey pride, self-determination, and the ways communities come together. This is a space for experimentation and creative freedom: an invitation to reclaim the gaze, challenge inherited narratives, and imagine new forms of collective identity.
