The Queer Joy Quilt Project is an ongoing series of workshops and community arts collaborations bringing together queer individuals with an interest in craft/ creative expression to create quilts that express what queer joy looks like for them. During the designing and making workshops, participants can kōrero and build whanaungatanga, stitching together a sense of belonging and kotahitanga. Through exhibiting our creations and documenting our process, we encourage the local queer community and allies to celebrate their own queer joy.
