Aunty’s House presents Chai Sessions: Rainbows in the Reserve

This Pride season, Aunty’s House are back in Sandringham to celebrate queer joy, connection, and the South Asian creative community in the open air.
Rainbows in the Reserve is a FREE, family-friendly Chai Session designed as a cosy queer picnic vibe - think delicious take-aways from the local Sandringham strip, chai in hand, performances from local South Asian artists, market stalls to wander through, and a whole lot of aroha.

We’re so excited to collaborate with Indian Origin Pride, SPiCE (Sandringham Project in Community Empowerment) and Auckland Pride Festival to create a space where queer South Asians, BIPOC whānau, and allies can gather, rest, celebrate, and feel seen.

Bring a picnic mat, grab some kai and settle in with your friends, your family, your chosen whānau, or come solo and make new connections. This is a warm, welcoming Pride moment rooted in community, care, and representation.
