'She enthrals me, enslaves me – and her personal self – her body absolute – is my worship'. Performance artist Vixen Temple reads acclaimed writer Katherine Mansfield’s sensual diary entries and sapphic-coded short stories, with historian Kerryn Pollock of Heritage New Zealand Pouhere Taonga and musician Vicky Weeds, at Aotearoa New Zealand’s finest Carpenter Gothic mansion Highwic (1862), set in a green oasis in the heart of Newmarket. After a sell-out debut season at Wellington Pride Festival 2025, Katherine comes to Auckland.

There is seating available but audience members are encouraged to stand and move around the room if possible. There is some period furniture in the room that audience members can sit on and folding seats are also available. The venue is wheelchair accessible.
