Quiet Chaos Club is a gentle, sensory-friendly community event created for queer, neurodivergent and disabled folks who want connection without pressure. This is a space where you can simply be yourself, enjoy calm surroundings, and engage in activities that bring you comfort.
Bring along a favourite “side quest”, whether it’s crochet, journaling, doodling, organising a project, or just relaxing and settle into a cosy atmosphere designed with accessibility and ease in mind. Soft lighting, soothing textures, and freedom to stim or move around make this a truly low-pressure environment.
Conversations are optional, and participation is always welcome but never required.
Each session includes:
- Quiet Work Time – Get comfy with your chosen activity.
- Guest Speaker Chat with host Nic – A relaxed conversation on creative pursuits, neurodivergent storytelling, community narratives, and unique hobbies/hyperfixations on topics.
- Optional Hangout – Stay afterwards to chat or continue your project.
Hybrid access ensures inclusivity: join us in person at Studio One Toi Tū or online via livestream. Comments will be disabled for a calm experience, but online attendees can submit questions through a dedicated Q&A space. With participant consent, sessions may be recorded for later viewing.
Quiet Chaos Club is all about creating a safe, welcoming space where disabled voices and design are prioritised. It’s a gentle alternative to bustling social settings, perfect for those who want an authentic connection without sensory overload.
Tickets are free to keep the event accessible for everyone. Spaces are limited to 25 in-person attendees, so secure your spot today!
